Prior to confirming your booking, please review this refund policy. When you book a charter with MutualReferenceHub, it implies you have understood and consent to these refund conditions.
Cancellation and Refund Framework
More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: Complete refund excluding processing charges
Refund Period: 5-7 business days
Service Fee: €50 for credit card operations
Criteria: Must be submitted in writing through email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before the Charter
Qualified for: Half of the total charter cost
Refund Period: 7-10 business days
Service Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund amount
Criteria: A legitimate justification is mandatory; subject to administrative costs
Less than 24 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: Refunds are not provided
Exemption: Situations of urgency may be taken into account
Alternative option: A charter credit might be given at the discretion of the management
Criteria: Verification needed for emergency cases
Cancellations Due to Weather
Guarantee Concerning Weather
Your safety is our paramount concern. If our certified captain determines that the weather conditions are too risky for sailing, we provide adaptable options:
- Complete Refund: If rescheduling isn't possible, a full refund is given
- Reschedule: Adjust your charter to a future date without any extra charge
- Charter Credit: A credit valid for one year from the initial charter date
Procedure for Weather Evaluation
We evaluate the weather considering the following criteria:
- Analysis of wind patterns
- Conditions of the sea, including wave sizes
- Predictions regarding visibility and precipitation
- Notices and advisories from the Coast Guard
- Risk assessment by a professional skipper
Timing for Decision: Decisions regarding cancellations for safety reasons are made at least 4 hours before the planned departure.
Refunds Due to Medical Emergencies
Critical Circumstances
We comprehend that unforeseen medical events can happen. Situations that may be eligible for special consideration include:
- Unexpected ailments or accidents leading to hospital stays
- Losing a close family member
- Urgent military duties or orders
- Being summoned for jury service or law court procedures
- Catastrophic incidents impeding travel
Requirement for Documentation
To facilitate emergency refund requests, pertinent documents should be provided:
- Medical report or documentation from the hospital
- Death record (if relevant)
- Formal military instructions
- Legal subpoenas or notices for jury duty
- Emergency announcements or travel warnings
Reimbursement: Refunds due to emergencies are processed within a window of 3-5 business days post-receipt of the necessary documentation.
Cancellations by the Operator
Mechanical Failures
If the yacht assigned to you suffers from mechanical issues that cannot be rectified in time:
- Substitute Vessel: We will endeavor to offer a similar vessel as a replacement
- Complete Refund: Given if there are no appropriate alternatives
- Partial Refund: Provided if the substituting vessel has differing pricing
- Compensation: Additional recompense may be extended for the trouble caused
Lack of Crew Availability
In the infrequent occurrence that a certified crew is not available:
- Efforts will be made to secure an alternate crew
- A full refund is provided if the charter cannot go ahead
- Opportunity to reschedule at no extra cost
Refund Procedures
Form of Payment
Reimbursements will be returned via the original mode of payment used during booking:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days
Charges for Processing
Credit Card Handling
A €50 charge for cancellations with more than 72 hours notice
Handling of Bank Transfers
A €25 charge for any bank transfer reimbursement
International Handling
Extra costs might apply for transactions across borders
Policy on Charter Credits
Instances for Credit Issuance
In certain cases, instead of a refund, charter credits could be provided:
- Late cancellations (under 24 hours)
- Cancellations due to weather
- Voluntary alterations to booking
- Disruptions in operations
Terms for Credits
- Validity: Good for one year from the date of issue
- Transferability: Credits are not transferrable to others
- Worth: Matches the full value of the charter (exempt from processing fees)
- Application: Can be used towards any available charters
- Expiry: No prolongation past the 12-month limit
Reimbursements for Interrupted Services
Service Disruptions
If your experience on the yacht is interrupted or curtailed due to factors we oversee:
- Refund proportional to the unutilized period
- Credit for a future yacht booking equivalent in value
- Complimentary amenities or upgrades
Interruptions Due to Guests
If a charter must end prematurely because of the conduct of guests or safety regulation breaches:
- No reimbursements for the time left unused
- The entire charge is still owed
- Extra charges might be levied
Resolving Disputes
In instances of disagreement with the outcome of a refund, you may:
- Request an evaluation by our administrative team
- Present extra proofs or documents
- Seek help from consumer rights bodies
- Opt for legal actions as per the law

Step 3: Examination and Executing the Refund
Our team will send an acknowledgment within a day, compare the request with this policy, arrive at a decision in two days, and proceed with approved reimbursements as per the specified timelines.
Things to Note
- All applications for refunds should be made in written form
- Reimbursements are processed in €, irrespective of the booking's currency
- We highly encourage purchasing travel insurance
- This policy can be updated after a prior notice of 30 days
- Refunds adhere to the relevant taxes and legal regulations
